COA Week February 10-16, 2008

The nationwide celebration of Children of Alcoholics Week (COA Week) – which is held each year during the week of Valentine's Day (this year February 10-16, 2008) – will also honor the 25th Birthday of NACoA on February 14th. Multiple materials to support awareness activities in local communities are available free from www.ncadi.samhsa.gov, where the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is acknowledging Children of Alcoholics Week in its “Upcoming Events” spot. By clicking on “Children of Alcoholics Week” you are immediately presented a list of materials that can help raise awareness about the impact of alcoholism and drug dependencies on children and strategies to help them. NACoA assisted in the development of these materials. We encourage you to use them to implement a robust COA week activity.
