Join TEAM NACoA for fun and fitness!
Over the past 10 years the National Association for Children of Alcoholics has reached out to the public to join NACoA's Run for the Children® as we participated in marathons all over the nation to support efforts to educate and inform those who can help the people hurt most by drugs and alcohol - the children of alcohol and other drug dependent parents.
NACoA's President/CEO, Sis Wenger, invites you to Run for the Children® with her, advisory board member Jerry Moe, and former board member Cheryl Watkins, as they walk the Half Marathon in the Phoenix Rock 'n Roll on January 15, 2011.
Register for the event of your choice and then send us the event participation form so we know what you will be doing and when. Updates for our TEAM NACoA members will be posted on our webpage and e-blasted to all participants.
You can create your own personal fundraising webpage through a link on our site and share the event details, why you have decided to support NACoA and update your message to keep your friends and family up-to-the-minute on your training regimen. We will be happy to assist you in setting up your page. Donations made on your webpage are secure and come directly to NACoA. We can provide you with fundraising suggestions to help you make this a fun and successful endeavor.
If you are running or walking we also have training schedules that we will be happy to share with you, and our website will have hints from our coach, Dr. Paul Robinson, who ran in three marathons last year to benefit NACoA's work.
Participants will receive a TEAM NACoA T-shirt. We will also provide mail-in envelopes for you if your supporters would prefer to send a check directly to us, and we will give you regular reports on donations received in your name.
Special Incentives: If you raise more than $500 by two weeks before your event date NACoA will send you an attractive and practical Run for the Children® sport bag.
NOTE: In the event that you must withdraw from your event no contributions already received by NACoA will be refunded.
